We have all been there. Even with TONS of training, 15+ years of clinical experience and over a decade of providing clinical supervision, I am not immune to feeling inadequate. It’s impossible to know it all…even though I really, really want to. I always found (after checking my ego) that connecting with another professional or joining a niche consult group helped expand my toolkit and perspectives.
I believe in keeping a sharp edge on clinical skills and being well rounded in the areas many our programs lacked. Sometimes it requires us to search outside our local community to connect with someone who can supplement our growth.
